For more than 35 years, Lakeway Homes, Inc. has been building beautiful custom homes in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metropolitan area. Over the years Lakeway Homes has built homes in Argyle, Bartonville, Lantana, Willow Bend (Plano), Denton, Colleyville, Flower Mound, Irving, Palmer, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Ellis County and various other metroplex locations. Lakeway Homes has constructed over 300 homes specializing in the $750,000 - $1,500,000+ price range homes. The company has been recognized for their work by winning the prestigious McSam and Vesta Awards for Custom Builder of the Year in the entire Dallas Metropolitan area. Lakeway Homes is also the recipient of the “People’s Choice” award as the overall winner in the Parade of Homes and also recieved an unprecedented number of additional awards during the event. These awards are noted to be some of the most prestigious awards in the building industry for outstanding achievement.

Lakeway Homes, Inc. is dedicated to excellence in construction. We have interior designers and home designers that work with us and our clients throughout the building process. We work directly with YOU the customer. We feel you come to us for our credentials and experience, thus you deal directly with us; not a salesperson or superintendent that does not have the experience or credentials you expect. This of course also keeps the cost of your home down. If we don’t have the extra personnel you don’t have to pay for them! This does limit us to the number of homes we build a year, but this philosophy has worked for 35 years and our customers have really appreciated it. We don’t compare ourselves to other builders-we compare ourselves to what we did yesterday-and seek always to be on the cutting edge of the industry technical advancements. You can compare us to others.

We are certified Graduate Master Builders and Engineers. Building your home is the largest financial investment for most people. Shouldn’t you deserve an Engineer to ensure structural integrity and knowledge?  We also have 30 years of design experience. 

We will meet with you and view your lot or our lot and get an idea of the design you want and what the property offers to enhance or hinder your home design.
We will review contracts (similar to yours) of previous clients to familiarize you with the verbiage of the contract addendums and specifications.
We will enter a design agreement and lot contract if you have not purchased your own lot.
A designer will prepare a rendering of the concept of YOUR home and once approved by the client, an elevation will be drawn.
From here we will meet with you to go over the concept plan and make design suggestions. With an agreement on the Interior Designer, a consultation will also be scheduled for designers input on your lifestyle to be incorporated into your home.
A preliminary set of plans is completed.
We meet to establish a list of amenities and specifications to meet your budget.
We incorporate all of these steps into a contract and review all of the costs of
your home.
A construction contract is signed with the sales price which can include all costs incurred to this point along with the costs of construction.
We will assist you in obtaining interim and permanent financing. We will review the walk-thru schedules at different stages of the construction of your home and approximate time frames for each stage.
We start building your home as soon as financing permits.


During your consultation, we will discuss styles, architecture, and ideas to get an idea on your personal taste.

With the help of award winning design team the selections can begin. Lakeway tries to make this process as easy as possible. First by having a clear budget for the many items going into the home and a group of vendors willing to go "beyond the call", in making certain you receive what you want in your custom home at a reasonable cost

Draw Designs

Based on both your ideas, budget and desires, Lakeway Homes, Inc. can design and draw your dream plan. This process is multi-staged. First step is the preliminary plan drawings, at this point we have an amenities meeting and spec-out the entire plan in terms of desired finishes. This is the point that some preliminary pricing can begin before the final plan is drawn saving additional design cost that may occur
